We're Home

April 2005

It’s great settling in and introducing our sweet Eva to special friends and family. Within the first week, we have spent time with several friends who have delivered meals and groceries to us, including Janru and Allen (affectionately called Ayi and Shushu or Aunt and Uncle in Chinese.) My parents and brother John and his family have also visited to welcome our new baby and help around the house. We feel blessed for all the support.

Much to our delight, Eva learned to walk three weeks to the day we received her. She simply stood up from a squatting position, took several steps toward Mommy, landing in her lap, squealing with delight. Eva’s other milestone is a new interest and love for bath time. No more sponge baths on the bed!
