“When you get to the end of all the light that you know and it’s
time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing
one of two things will happen: either you will be given
something solid to stand on or you will be taught how to fly.”

A New Adventure Begins…
Hi Everyone,
Here we are the beginning of another journey to China. Once
again, we are going to meet a new member of our family member
soon. It’s hard to believe that we will soon get to know Lucas
for who he is and not just in pictures. We will get to move from
speculating and wondering to actually knowing him…Very Exciting!
Jonathan & I are in our hotel room right by the airport settling
in for the night. Unfortunately we both caught the nasty cold
going around this past week and will be traveling under the
weather. We appreciate your prayers for health and endurance.
Ted brought us down to our hotel while the grandparents shuffled
the rest of the kids to dance classes this afternoon. We are
blessed to have helpful parents!
Ted will be staying home this trip with the rest of the kids at
home. One dad, six kids, mom gone…it could get a little crazy.
Our journey tomorrow begins by checking in at 3:30 a.m. Yes, I
really did say that incredibly early time! We will “lose” a day
during our travels and arrive in Hangzhou close to bedtime on
Saturday, June 3rd. I’ll try to send a postscript to this post
when we get there to let you know we all arrived before we crash
into our beds as long as the hotel WIFI works when we get there.
Meanwhile, we are happy to be on the way to get Lucas and start
next phase to bring him home. Thank you to everyone who has
helped and supported and prayed and so much more to make this
day possible!
Blessings,
Brandy & The Rest Of The Pancoast Family
P.S. We are here safe and sound after 29 hours of traveling. The
trip went reasonably smoothly...only a one hour delay to start
our fourth flight of the trip in Qingdao and a little missed
connection with our guide but they both worked out fairly
easily. Despite Jonathan & I both being hit with nasty cold
going around before we left, we made the trip in pretty good
shape.
Fun Moments...
1) Apparently I was the only one on the flight from Vancouver
who was not Chinese so they just handed me the customs forms
without needing to walk the aisles.
2) Jonathan found wonton soup in honor of Webster who loves it!
3) Amalie celebrates 9...yes 9... years in our family today
(adopted June 2, 2008)...We are so blessed to have her in our
family! |
