We Made It…
Welcome to the final post for this trip.
We made it home safely with only a one hour delay at
Guangzhou…not bad for a trip this long. Lucas was a great
traveler! We had so much to be grateful for on this trip…and
best of all, we are now home.
The boys watched movies and played games all the way until
Seattle. I took a nap on the long flight, but they just kept on
going…until they crashed :)
We were met by rest of the family and Ted’s mom. It was good to
see their smiling faces. The rest of my family was at my
cousin’s wedding happening at the same time so we had to wait
until Sunday to see them. We had our traditional dinner stop at
Moon’s Mongolian Grill on Division and then drove the rest of
the way home to sleep in our own beds.
We got up for church then came home to celebrate birthdays for
Connor (13) & my mom (60) as well as Father’s Day for the three
fathers who were here. It was a great way to celebrate coming
home. Lucas handled it all beautifully. It really feels like he
has been here so much longer than he has. Not very many of our
kids could have handled a family party on their first full day
home, but he has adjusted so well that we went for it and it was
a success.
We will post an update in a few months and let you all see how
the journey at home has continued so check back for that update.
Happy To Be Home,
