2 DAYS
UNTIL HOME!!!
Today was a
very laid back day. Brandon woke up with
"stomach discomfort" (if you know what I
mean). So he pretty much stayed in bed all
day. We decided against the group trip to
the Guangzhou Zoo. Kiah and I hung out in
the room most of the day. She took 2
really good naps today. That is much
different from our usual schedule of
getting on and off of a bus all day which
severely limits nap times. Kiah and I had
a "girls only" lunch at Lucy's. We then
headed back to the room to deliver some
much needed Haagen-Dazs to Brandon.
Brandon decided around dinner time that he
could make it out of the hotel room so we
all went to dinner at Lucy's. He took it
easy with a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich. We stopped at a couple of
stores to finish up our shopping. We also
saw some more families we had met in
Beijing and Hong Kong. We spent the rest
of the evening watching old 80s movies on
HBO and Cinemax. A stomach bug is the
perfect time to see the oldie but
goodies: A Few Good Men, Sabrina, most
anything with Gene Wilder, etc. ha ha ha
We had a great
talk with both the kids this morning and
the excitement is building for our trip
home. We are so ready. I can't wait to
hold them in our arms. Tomorrow is
another "rest/shop/tour" day. There is an
optional tour to Pearl, Gem and DVD Market
in the afternoon. I'm sure Brandon will
want to go to this especially since we are
going to a DVD Market. We have our "red
couch" photos scheduled for 5pm. The
White Swan Hotel has a famous red couch
where all adoptive parents like to have
their kids pictures taken before they
leave Guangzhou. We then have an optional
group dinner scheduled for the evening.
This is a
short update today since we really haven't
done anything!!!
