Received our call from Elvin at 10:50
a.m. Quote: “Consulate say
your paperwork in perfect order. A job well done, Lisa. Enjoy
rest of
day.” Praise the Lord! When I heard the phone ring I didn’t know
what to
think. I was just hoping for good news. Whew! What a relief that
that is
over with. Now for the swearing of the oath tomorrow and then we
will
be on our way home. I cannot wait! I called Doug as soon I hung
up the
phone. Alivia got to hear her Daddy’s voice from the
speakerphone. She
was quite inquisitive.
Kind of a lazy morning once we got the phone call. The
pressure was
off so we could now relax! Yippee! In the afternoon we headed
back out
to finish up our shopping. Very important! Had our final lunch
was at
Lucy’s. Once again, delicious!
Met up with the group at 5:00 p.m. for dinner. This
meal was
probably the best of the Chinese meals we have eaten. Dumplings
and candied
sweet potatoes! Yummy! It is also our last Chinese meal. We will
be
having pizza again tomorrow night so all the families can stay
in to pack.
On Thursday, we must be ready to be on the bus by 5:30 a.m. I
know it’s
early but the adrenaline will be pumping as every family is very
anxious to get home.
Tomorrow we will be taking the oath which will make
everything
official to make Alivia ours FOREVER! Can’t believe the time has
finally
arrived!
I doubt I will be able to post anymore before we leave because
of all
the packing we have to do. I will post on Friday or Saturday as
soon as
I have rested from the long journey home.
One more day! I am crying tears of joy as I write this.
WE ARE
FINALLY GOING HOME! This time spent in Guangzhou has been a lot
of fun,
mostly because we have so enjoyed getting to know all the
babies. They are all such precious bundles of joy! All the
families have been truly
blessed. Thank you, Lord for answering all our prayers. Dear
God, may you
continue to bless Alivia, Anna, Autumn, Claire, Jocelyn,
Katrina, Kylie,
Lydia, Mimi, Samantha, and Sasha. May they always know how much
they
are loved by their new Mommies and Daddies, and especially by
you, their
Heavenly Father.
Please continue to keep all of us in your prayers (especially
the
babies) as we prepare for our 14.5 hour flight home to join our
families.
This has been a very long journey. A good journey, but a very
long
journey! It has been an emotional draining experience, but Alivia was all
worth it! Jennifer, thanks for hanging in there with me!
Couldn’t have
done this without you! Tammy, thanks for taking care of my
precious
Mary! We cannot wait to see our families and friends waiting for
us at the
airport. Kentucky here we come!
God bless – Lisa, Jennifer and Baby Alivia |
