Our morning started bright and early with an appointment at the medical clinic. This is one busy clinic! We arrived a few minutes after 8am and every seat was filled and it was standing room only. Fortunately, we had an appointment and didn't have to wait.

In the U.S., we are all about patient privacy, but that's not the case here. The nurse took Nicole into a small room with a window in the door. Anyone walking down the hall could look in and see everything. As a matter of fact, some did walk by and stop and look. Miko, Allison, and I stood outside in the hall, but people still stopped to peek inside.

She did very well! We were done in about 20 minutes. While we were there, Miko checked on the x-ray results and they were clear! And the blood tests were negative for TB! Great news!

Nicole told us she was hungry so we headed straight for the breakfast buffet when we got back to the hotel. Allison walked around with Nicole asking her what she wanted. Nicole is very good at reading (in Chinese) the signs by the food, and if she doesn't want anything she will just shake her head and move on. A lot of children in China are used to eating Congee (a form of boiled rice) for breakfast. So, Allison offered some to Nicole. Instead of doing her usual shake of the head, Nicole looked at Allison and said "Yuck!" Allison and I agree!

I just want to say how thankful I am at all of the prayers for my sweet girl! We still have 2 more days of testing, so if you'll keep that in your prayers, this mama would be very grateful!

Today was also zoo day! Nicole looked at the zoo map and quickly zeroed in on what she wanted to see. The Xiong Mao (Panda) and the reptiles (not Mom's favorite). Unfortunately, the panda was in his house and didn't seem interested in visitors. Then, we hiked over to find the pythons. Again, not Mom's favorite! We get there to see the snakes in their plexiglass (badly etched, so hard to see) houses. Inside the two houses were some very large snakes. Also, inside each were some live white rabbits! You know the kind, the white bunnies people give at Easter time. These bunnies were alive and sitting right next to the pythons! You never know what you will see in China!
