Because we will most likely not do an update today, I thought I would at least send a few pics from yesterday. If we return from the orphanage visit in time, we will try and put on more pictures of our day.

Please continue to pray for Gracie. She is grieving very hard for what she has lost. From around 2pm yesterday, she has been crying and screaming on and off, but the screaming began in earnest around 2am this morning and has not stopped. She even got a nosebleed she was crying so hard. She cannot be comforted no matter what we do, and it broke my heart when about an hour ago, as we were getting ready to leave for the orphanage, she said through her tears, “Wo jia! Wo jia!”, which is in essence, “I want to go home.” It brought us both to tears as we struggle with whether it is better to not visit, and let her continue to grieve, though perhaps thinking wrongly she was kidnapped from those she loved or something, or to proceed with our plans so that she can receive closure and be told by her nannies that she is going to her new home and her new mama and daddy.

At this point, we have prayed about it and decided to keep going with the plan to visit. Everyone had advised us that this will help her grieving and reminded us that it is so good that she is grieving, because it means that she was dearly loved and has a great capacity to love in return. Please cover her in prayer though for the hard journey ahead. Thank you!
