BEIJING AND FLIGHT TO HANGZHOU

Sightseeing today featured Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City's Palace Museum, and the Hutong area of traditional Chinese courtyard homes. So impressive to see these places we have read about and to learn more about Chinese culture and history. We have truly enjoyed Beijing!

After a half day of touring Beijing, we flew to Hangzhou, a honeymoon city located on scenic West Lake. Hangzhou is considered one of China’s most beautiful cities. Marco Polo was quite enchanted by this city and the beautiful West Lake. Chinese people often say that the most beautiful and clever women are from Hangzhou. And this is where we will meet our new daughter—sounds good to us! Our hotel here is the Merchant Marco Hotel and our wonderful new guide is Andrew.
