I have to make this post very short because I am exhausted!! But, I couldn’t go to sleep without shouting to the world that we are officially the parents of Emme Jade! We sat before the Nanjing Official and told her that we would love and take care of Emme Jade forever! We met the Executive Director of Yangzhou at our meeting and he said to us, you now have four beautiful flowers! He also presented us with a gift that contains a locket of Emme’s hair from her first hair cut. They also gave us two photo albums filled with over 60 photos of her life in Yangzhou. These gifts are priceless to our family, and we are so thankful.

From the Civil Affairs Office we went to Wal*Mart to buy diapers for Emme’s orphanage. We will be taking a van full of Pampers to Yangzhou tomorrow. We are excited to be able to help in this way!

The rest of our day was spent at the hotel. Emme promised our guide she would take a nap, and she did just that! We also took her to the pool for the first time. Once she learned she could splash the water and her Baba she loved it!! She also loved her new swimsuit!! She is so fun to dress. Her expressions when she looks at herself are adorable!

Overall, Emme has had a great day! She woke up happy after a great night of sleep. She decided shortly after that she wanted nothing to do with her Mama, which I will admit was a little hard to take. The wonderful news is she is crazy about her Daddy and her Jie Jie. Well I do not know what tomorrow will bring, but our day ended with my new little buddy giving me a big smile and a much needed kiss… She is now fast asleep getting ready for a big day tomorrow… Answered prayer!!

We leave for Yangzhou at 7:00… We know it will be a heart-changing day!

So I sign off from Nanjing officially as the Mama of four girls!

We want you to know we loved talking to you on Skype yesterday!!! We miss you so much. It sounds like you are having so much fun. And, we are so proud of you!
Thank you for being so good for Miss Jill and Miss Mary! We can’t wait to see those new pink sleeping bags!!! Take care of each other for us! We miss you tons!!
