XIE XIE

The past few months have flown by and I truly have no words left other then to say we are so in love with our little girl and she is so in love with her "addy" (daddy) and her "aggy (mommy)"! I will let the pictures speak for themselves as every moment has touched our hearts forever. We are truly a blessed family in every sense of the word.

We would like to thank all of you (or "Xie Xie" as Harper would say) who have followed our journey, sent us messages, gifts and prayers. We truly appreciate and are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of family, friends, acquaintances and complete strangers. Finally we would like to thank the People's Republic of China for letting us adopt one of their daughters. We will raise her and love her as if she was born from our flesh and she will always know the love of a family and the warmth of a home.

In closing, since I was a child I was dreaming of this little girl in a faraway land. I would play the song "Somewhere over the rainbow" on my fisher price radio as a kid, then on my boom box as a teen, followed by my computer as a college student and now as an adult on my Ipod. No one ever knew my favorite song but I repeatedly listened to it as almost a life mantra when things went astray or life did not work out as I had planned. Now I know why I was always so drawn to the song's lyrics for I have been granted my wishes in my husband and my daughter, who we received somewhere over the rainbow!

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

"Thank heaven for little girls"!
