Monday, April 4, 2005 GUANGZHOU Today Eva had her visa photo taken and her medical exam. She now weighs 21 lbs and is deemed healthy. She cried the whole time they examined her. I have literally been wearing/ holding her the entire time we’re not in our hotel room. She will not let anyone else hold her. I wear her in the Ergo carrier when we’re out and about and she sits in my laps during meals. In many ways it’s just what I need too—we’re both catching up for lost time! It is exhausting but it’s a good exhaustion. Poor Jeff says he is the pack mule, trip photographer, banker, and expert formula mixer. He would love to hold and cuddle his little girl but is being very patient and allowing her to warm to him on her own time. She will allow him to give her a bottle. And, she plays games with him and rewards him with huge grins and laughter.
