GUANGZHOU
This is truly a baby honeymoon. No job to rush off to, no meals
to prepare, no dishes to wash, no housecleaning… Although we do
some laundry by hand in the hotel room, we also taking advantage
of the laundry service. We’re loving the food and try to find
restaurants where lots of local people are eating. Jeff and I
are foodies and it appears our daughter is too!
Eva’s personality is now beginning to emerge. More smiles,
laughter, and activity. She is curious in the toys we have,
mostly the stacking boats and the connecting rings. She is not
interested in the books or the little soft dolly we brought. She
can crawl but not walk yet. The only sounds she makes are an "oo oo oo" sound which means both I want and I'm not happy,
and a word like "maar" which sounds like the Thai word for
mother. She uses this word with me often, especially while
eating. Meals are still her favorite time of
day. She is terrified of the bathroom and bath so we have only
been able to sponge bathe her on the bed. Her hair is beginning
to smell like chicken soup! Oh well. She is just so sweet and
cuddly. We’ve been parents for a week now and we’re in love! |
