ADOPTION DAY!

Today was the official adoption day with the Chinese Civil Affairs. It took us over an hour to get there, weaving in and out of traffic. Another eventful car day. Tomorrow will be in a train, it should be safer, but very fast! After the paperwork was signed, and sealed with our thumb prints (including Qwinns, oh so cute), we had pictures with Ms. Tang. We can tell she really loved him. Yesterday, she gave us a photo album with many pictures of him growing up. It was priceless. Speaking of priceless, he is currently spooning me as I try to type this. This may be a short post, and it may get posted late. We do apologize. We didn't sleep much last night (Ben and I), and tonight we are doing the family bed:). Today nap time was not too good. The poor little guy was terrified of his crib, so we let him nap on the bed. And the same thing happened for bed time. As a matter of fact, it started immediately after bath time. This is quite common with institutionalized kids. They tend to spend a lot of time in their cribs, so its not the happiest place for them. He had such a great day today, we didn't want to ruin it:) Including the bath, he loves splashing:)

So speaking of great day, we saw LOTS of personality today. I can't begin to tell you how happy he is, giggling, laughing, joking, testing, pouting, mimicking, climbing, running, trying new things, and loving every minute of it. He especially loves meal time. Today we let him have another spoon, and let him dive in with his fingers. We still did the feeding, he did the playing. This was definitely a new thing for him. Unfortunately he thinks it is an every meal thing now! This kid is amazing, we introduce something one time and he remembers it instantly. He is such a little miracle.

Enjoy the pictures!

Love,

Ben, Shawna and Qwinn
