VISA DAY

Well today we have really hit the wall. We have not had much on our schedule, so we have had a lot of hotel time. Cabin fever has set in. We are very ready to come home. Today was the day we got Qwinn's visa, but yet again, our guide was able to go get them all, and give them to us at the hotel. We also received a very special 'brown envelope' which we are not able to open:). We are to give it to American customs when we arrive in San Francisco. It is very official looking:). Qwinn's visa and passport is so cute. It will be a neat memento. It is recommended we never use it again, but to get him an American one, since he will be a US Citizen in less than 3 days. We are so excited!

Not much more to talk about. Our lives have officially revolved around eating, napping, playing, snacking, more eating, changing diapers, bathing, and bedtime rituals. Oh, and don't forget the tantrums; today was mostly because mealtimes were over. Did I mention Qwinn likes to eat:).

We met some very nice shop owners today. Jordan's was one of the biggest one's. Very nice man with great English:). He gave us more history lessons, also told us beautiful people come from Jiangsu, and gave Qwinn a very nice poster with his name done in calligraphy. We also bought another suitcase, for a whopping $25 dollars. This was a very large, very nice suitcase...which will carry all the extra things we are bringing back. Mostly mementos for Qwinn as he grows up. It will be gifts we can't ever buy in the US. Including shoes for the next 2 years!

Tomorrow we take a train to Hong Kong and spend one night. Our flight out on Thursday is early in the morning. Unfortunately we are isolated to our hotel, which is at the airport. We hear it is a lot like being in the UK. I think I mentioned earlier, Britain ruled Hong Kong for many years, and then China reclaimed it. I can't remember what years, but it seems it was in the last century.

I hope everyone is well at home and at school. We miss you all very much!

Love,

Ben, Shawna and Qwinn
