OUR FAMILY IS SO BLESSED!
Meet our family . . .
ROB – a.k.a. Daddy Rob, as Zoe calls him – is a
professor of philosophy at Southwest Minnesota State
University in Marshall, MN. It’s a very good job, and he finds
a lot of time to work on the numerous books he is going to
publish. He is passionate about philosophy and finds both
publishing and teaching to be rewarding. He is equally
passionate about staying healthy and works out almost every
single day! When not hanging out with the family or at the
gym, he can be found working on his computer at the local
coffee joint, “The Daily Grind.” So if you ever find yourself
in Marshall, stop in and join him for a cup of coffee!
SUSAN – a.k.a. Mommy – is
now a stay-at-home mother and LOVING it! She fills her days
reading children’s books aloud, playing games, tossing the
ball, going for walks (when the weather is nice), arranging
play dates, cooking dinner, doing laundry, and the list goes
on. She is passionate about being the very best Mommy she can
possibly be. She goes to MOPs – a group for mothers of
preschoolers – every other week, is on the Early Childhood
Family Education Parent Advisory Board, and is taking a
psychology class at the university.
ZOE – a.k.a. “jie jie” or
big sister – is getting to be a very big girl at almost two
and a half. All on her own, she has decided that she is
interested in the potty. She LOVES her potty books and sits on
the big girl potty for long periods of time each day. She
hasn’t had any success at actually “going” on the potty yet,
but she is very proud of all her efforts! Zoe is beginning to
use more and more spoken language, and she has the sweetest
voice Mommy and Daddy have ever heard. She is a little snuggle
bug and the light of our lives. That’s not to say that she
doesn’t have a two year-old temper … believe us when we say
that she does. But we love everything about her! Zoe goes to
“Book Club,” swim lessons, “Tumbling Tots,” and preschool on
Fridays. She also attends an Early Childhood Family Education
class every Thursday morning with Mommy. Zoe can say “mei mei”
which means little sister in Chinese. And we think she is
going to be a terrific big sister to little Lexi!
