First, I will start out by
telling you that we received excellent news today!! WE WILL GET
BRIA TOMORROW!!!!! Yes, between 4:00-5:00pm we will get to hold
our little sweetie!!!!! That was a wonderful surprise—we thought
we wouldn’t get her until Monday morning. We also received
another surprise this morning when received 2 more pictures of
Bria from Susan who went on the mission trip to her orphanage a
few weeks ago. I cried!!! They were trying to teach her who her
mommy and daddy are! What a blessing that mission group has been
to us!
Last night we had a great REAL Chinese dinner with our friends
who live here in Beijing—David, Li Hua, and Leah Moser. David is
originally from Edmond and now lives here in Beijing with Li Hua
and Leah. He is on a TV show here in China where he teaches
English and works for the station as an English expert. As soon
as we went into the restaurant, people were recognizing him and
he even had to take a picture with a teenage girl. We felt
special to be having dinner with a celebrity here in China!! We
tried many wonderful Chinese dishes including Peking Duck which
was great! We loved the food!
Today we toured the Forbidden City, Tian An Men square and the
Great Wall. It was all very beautiful and great to learn more
about our little sweetie’s culture. Kaden likely had 100
pictures taken of him today—it is unbelievable the attention he
gets!!! We were able to get a few souvenirs today at the Great
Wall (something for Kaden’s big Bubba and Sissy—he’s really
missing you guys!).
Well we are trying to go to bed early. What a big day we have
tomorrow!! By the way, thanks for all the wonderful comments—we
love reading them each day!
