SHE IS OURS!!!!

Wow, what an amazing day!!!!! We flew from Beijing to Chongqing this morning, did a little shopping early afternoon, and then came to our room to wait for “the call.” Our guide had said to wait in our room and he would call around 4:00-5:00pm to tell us when the babies had arrived. At 5:30 we received the wonderful call “come to the lobby, your baby is here.” We rushed downstairs to see her sitting with her friend, Maddy, on a chair in the hotel lobby (all of the babies were there and sitting 2 together in individual chairs). I started to cry immediately when I saw her—she is BEAUTIFUL!!!! More beautiful in person than we ever imagined!!!! We were able to talk to her from a few feet away and she just continued to stare at us. Each nanny then picked up their baby and we went to a room and were called back one at a time to get our babies. Bria’s nanny was holding her very close to the door, so Kaden just walked right up and gave her the little Winnie the Pooh toy he had brought for her. It was so sweet and that toy is still by far her favorite toy! Once our names were called, we went back and they handed her to me. She didn’t cry at all!! She is a very, very good baby!!

We brought her up to the room, changed her diaper and clothes and got out the toys. Her friend, Maddy, came to play and they had a great time. She drank her bottle, ate lots of cheerios, and ate a few small bites of big brother’s macaroni and cheese. She smiles, laughs, is sitting up very well and is crawling! She doesn’t have any teeth, but it feels like one is about to come through on the bottom. She seems to be very well adjusted and very healthy. She is very petite!!! Her feet are so, so small (even a size 3 baby shoe was huge on her!) She has short little legs and a short body as well, but she is not short on hair! We have scales in our room and she only weighs 15 pounds and 6 ounces—pretty tiny for almost 14 months old!!

Kaden is doing so well with her and is even sharing his engines with her (which is a big deal!!). He has held her a few times and he is very gentle. He is a great big brother!!!

We have to do a little paperwork in the morning and then have the rest of the day to stare at her, kiss her and love on her! I’m sure we will have lots more pictures to come!

Ours forever!!!
