We got off to an early start this morning when Zoe fell off the bed at 4am. I just scooped her up and lay her between Rob and me on our bed. Right about the time that she drifted back off to sleep, Lexi woke up hungry for a bottle. Rob prepared the bottle and then I fed it to the PPP (Pootiepie Petite aka the Triple P). Thankfully she also fell back to sleep so we all had a little more downtime before beginning our day. As usual, I was up, bathed, and dressed before anyone else opened their eyes again.

Once again, we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast at the White Swan buffet. Yummy! We even discovered that they serve salami … only Zoe’s most favorite food in the entire world with the exception possibly of macaroni and cheese.

After breakfast we met our group and headed over for the babies’ medical exams. As you can imagine, the “Quiet Please” sign was not paid much attention as almost every single baby screamed in fear, or in Lexi’s case, anger, at being poked and prodded. Following the brief medical exam, we took a walk around the Shamian Island. Lexi fell asleep while Zoe played on the playground. After a brief stop at Starbuck’s, we returned to our room for a PB&J lunch. Then it was time to explore the shops on the island. We found the charity store and picked up a few more items for the girls.

In the evening, we went on a dinner cruise on the Pearl River. We were so excited to do this and Zoe really had a lot of fun since this was her first experience on a boat. But the food was awful and they even ran out of some items before I made it through the line. I was particularly interested in getting some dim sum for Lexi since she really enjoys it. Sadly the dish was empty by the time I got to it. So the cruise was a disappointment for the adults but the children seemed to enjoy the experience. It was so bad that Elsie actually gave us all a discount on the ticket price that we owed. Oh well!

There is a huge Christmas tree in the White Swan.
