“We can give thanks to God for the ever-increasing abundance He has bestowed on us.” -Ronald Reagan

Sunday, July 2, 2006

We went to breakfast and then decided to take a walk along the river. It was rich with culture early in the morning. There were a lot of people doing Tai Chi, women dancing with fans, and people doing exercises with swords. It was amazing! There were also people playing instruments and singing! We taped it for Reagan; she slept through it all. Actually, she slept most of the day. She isn't feeling well at all today! Her fever has gone back up really high and she is very lethargic. We took her down to the pool again to see if we could cheer her up and to get her fever down. She loves the water, but she didn't get very lively today. She did splash a little, but not much. When we got back to the room, she slept hours and hours. We woke her up and fed her and gave her Tylenol for her fever. Then she threw it all up. Afterwards, we went on a riverboat tour. We had planned to go, but then after Reagan was sick, we thought that maybe we should keep her in. Then we thought that it just might be good to get her out of this room and in the fresh air. The tour was great! The city looks beautiful from the boat, especially at night with all of the lights. Reagan slept through the whole thing.

When we got back to our room, we gave her Motrin, Zithromax, her inhaler, and steroids. Praise God, they all stayed down! We then were able to get her to eat about half a bottle of formula and keep it down. She went right back to sleep afterwards. Please continue to pray for her. Just when we think that she is getting better, she relapses. It is frustrating and worrying. When her fever is up, she just pants. It is really heartbreaking! We hope that she gets all better soon! Well, that is about it for tonight. We are tired and are going to bed. We know that Reagan is in the palm of God's hand and that He will take care of her! We miss and love you all!

Ashton and Kieron,

Boy, do we miss you! You would have loved the riverboat tour! There were lights everywhere! The boat had 3 levels to it. Our table was on the bottom level. We were able to walk around, and we walked to the open top deck. You could see the city all along the river! It was beautiful! We also met a little girl at the pool today who was 7 years old. She was adopted from China when she was 10 months old. She was back with her parents to adopt a little brother who is 4. You would have loved to play with her. She was very sweet! Well, we are off to bed and you are off to church! WE MISS AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH! It isn't long now until we are all together!
