Dear Sianna,
I haven’t written in awhile because this has been a
difficult few weeks. Our hearts are heavy right now because
Bogey, our lab went to doggie heaven on Friday, June 30th.
He has been with us for over 7 years and it has just broken
our hearts. Abby is doing well…and we are finding her
company very soothing right now. We were so hoping that you
would get to enjoy these dogs as much as we have…but it was
his time whether we agree or not.
I have been on a “vacation” this past week from work. I
needed, more than I realized, a break from my work. This has
been good for me. Your daddy and I have been bowling, we
went to a local base ball game, we have gone camping and of
course fly fishing. I also drove up to see your grandmother
Mildred for a few days and I also drove up to see your other
Grandma Patton. Both visits were healing and special!
Some frustrating news…I heard back from our agency and our
paperwork did not get logged in when expected…BIG
SURPRISE….they were logged in on June 6th 2006. So….NOW we
have a month behind us…instead of almost two. As usual…I am
just going with the flow of things right now…and not trying
to get caught up in the drama that can come with this
process. I just have happy thoughts of you…and I seem to be
just fine.
Your daddy and I have another vacation planed in
August…which believe it or not…I will be ready for. This
week was nice…but your mommy is tired…and this rest, both
mentally and physically…is great!!!!
Well your dad and I are off to the river, the Holston, to
catch a big beautiful brown!
