If you have ever seen the movie “Stuart Little”, you may
remember the scene at the beginning of the movie where George
wakes up on the day of their adoption and he is screaming, “It’s
Today! It’s Today! It’s Today! Well, that is exactly how I feel.
Today is the day we leave the United States and land in a
country that will mean so much to our family.
We had a great flight from Atlanta to Chicago . Grace loved the
“blast off”!! Graham and Grace were both very excited about
being on the airplane and the SNACKS!! They enjoyed the
delicious snack mix and ginger ale. When we arrived in Chicago ,
the ground was covered with snow. It was beautiful!!...and a
site that our family better get used to.
We got some rest and woke up to a wonderful surprise at
breakfast. As we were going to eat breakfast, we saw our Sunday
School teacher, Mr. Chittom and had a wonderful time of
fellowship with him. God is so good! Last night, my dad found a
complimentary breakfast ticket on the floor…so we had a ticket
for him to join us for breakfast! Also, the hotel that he was
staying in just happened to be across the snowy street from our
hotel. Thank you, Mr. Chittom for taking the time to visit and
pray with us. We love you so much!!
The next post will be from the city of Hong Kong . Please
continue to pray for us as we make this part of the journey. I
told my cousin last night to pray for safety and sanity!
For now,
Mike, Leigh Ann, Graham, Grace, Nana, and Grandaddy |
All packed up and ready to go
Waiting for our
