Well, another day is drawing to a close for us here in China. It
is
hard to believe that we will be leaving here in just a few days.
We
are all doing great…just tired and getting to the point that we
are
anxious to come home. Please pray for our stamina and patience
with
each other as we complete our trip.
After breakfast this morning, we walked to the clinic to do the
physical examinations. They checked Sarah Joy's heartbeat, ears,
nose, throat, height, weight, and temperature. They told us that
she weighs 21 lbs!! She is definitely a growing girl!! While we
were at the examination clinic, a lady walked up to me and asked
me
if my baby was "Sarah Joy". She said that she has been following
our website and she recognized us. I knew there were a lot of
folks
back home following our journey, but I didn't realize that some
in
China were too!
We did some more shopping today! I know…Surprise! Surpise! We
are
having so much fun and finding some really great stuff.
This afternoon we also took the "red couch" photos of the babies
and
our group. This is tradition for families staying at the White
Swan
Hotel to all sit on one of their red couches and take photos
with
the babies wearing the Chinese silk dresses. I have not posted
any
pictures of Sarah Joy crying before, but you will see that she
did
not like the red couch photo opportunity.
We finished our day with dinner at a local Thai restaurant with
our
group. The food was good and we enjoyed socializing with our
travel
group.
Now that I have you all addicted to following our journey, I
will share with you the website for another family in our group.
You can check them out at
here.
They have been with us the entire journey and Graham has really
enjoyed hanging out with their boys. So, now you have two sites
to
check every day.
Tomorrow we are going on a group tour around Guangzhou. We are
leaving pretty early in the morning, so I need to get some rest.
Sarah Joy is sleeping in the crib and I hear Mike already asleep
(I
won't say snoring…) Love ya'll!!
Until tomorrow….
