Well, after being on the airplane for 16+ hours, we finally made
it to Hong Kong . We had close to a 2 hour delay in Chicago due
to a mechanical problem. However, we had a smooth flight and
made it safely. We all slept some, but not near enough. After we
got to our hotel, we all crashed…but then Grace woke Mike and I
up around 2am and never went back to sleep. It really does take
some adjustment to get used to a 13 hour time change. I think it
hit me this morning and also Graham. We both were sick this
morning, but felt so much better after a nap and some food.
Today we had a dim sum lunch with several groups from our
agency. Then we went on a tour to Victoria Peak , a fishing
village and some shopping. It was fun! I think we are all
getting anxious to get on with business and meet our new babies.
Then we will really be ready to shop.
Speaking of meeting our new baby, we will be leaving our hotel
around 8:30 in the morning (Sunday) to go to the airport to fly
to Nanchung. We will be getting Sarah Joy sometime after we
arrive in Nanchung. We are so excited!!!
Please pray that we get a good night’s sleep tonight and feel
rested for the task of tomorrow. Our next post will include
pictures of “Gotcha!!” Thanks for all of the precious comments
in our guestbook. You have all been such an inspiration to us!!
