We had our red couch photo today. (There’s a red couch on the first floor of the White Swan and all the babies from the same welfare institute are traditionally photographed together on it.) Jia and the other girls battled over the Cheerios, making for some fun shots.

We have our oath at the U.S. consulate this afternoon. We’ll then pack and head out very early tomorrow morning.

We have sure enjoyed our time in Jia’s country. Everyone has treated us so warmly here. We can’t wait to bring Jia back when she’s older. We feel so very lucky, and grateful, to have received this gift of a beautiful, bright and fun daughter. She’s far more than we ever dreamed of, and we are thrilled to be her parents.
