July 2008 Update

July has been a wonderful month filled with warm sunny days and hanging out together. We celebrated what will most likely be our last Fourth of July without Lexi at a local fair. Zoe very bravely overcame her fear of the “big slide” and chose to ride it as many times as her remaining tickets would allow. She can’t wait to teach her baby sister how to go down a slide and do many other big girl things. I know I have said it before, but she is going to be a terrific older sister.

I have been working very part-time at our gym in the playroom. There is a four month old baby that I have had the pleasure of caring for while her Mommy works out. When I am holding her, I cannot help but think about my child that waits half a world away. I pray there are loving hands that help and hold her. I pray she feels safe and comfortable in the summer heat. As I watch this beautiful baby smile and giggle, I hope Lexi is doing the same. My prayer is that she won’t have to wait much longer …

Daddy's little helper.

She LOVED going on the "big slide."

We are so not ready for Zoe to drive someday.
Will a brick on her head keep her small forever?

An injury after falling down the stairs at church.
She had a lump the size of an egg. OUCH!

Aunt Cathy surprised Zoe with a bouncy ball "just because".
