December 2007 Update
Well, another holiday season has come and gone, and it was
absolutely wonderful. We had the opportunity to observe our dear
sweet Zoe in ballet class, and she participated in a special
Christmas program at school. Too cute! Then we had the chance to
fly to visit Susan’s parents in Kansas. We met Susan’s sister
Cathy there, and we all took a trip to visit Susan’s brother and
his family. Her other sister Barbara and her husband Mike drove
down as well, so for the first time in forever, we were all
together. It was so special!!! One highlight was going to the
Nutcracker ballet with Zoe’s cousin Sydney, Aunt Melinda,
Granmommy, Zoe, and me. There is nothing more precious than
sitting with your child perched on your lap while she whispers
in your ear, “Look Mommy, they are beautiful ballerinas just
like me.” Be still my singing heart …
On Christmas Eve Zoe left a note for Santa with clear
instructions that he was NOT to come in the house. Thankfully he
obliged and left all her gifts in a bag on the back porch. She
was too cute climbing into the bag to pull out her gifts on
Christmas morning. Four is definitely a fun year when it comes
to Christmas!
We hope and pray 2008 is the year when we will complete our
family and Lexi comes home.
