September 2007 Update
Well, September was a month of “firsts” for our dear Zoe!
She had her first day of big girl preschool and her first ballet
class. She had her first Chinese language lesson with Mommy and
Daddy and her first taste of a Moon Cake (she LOVED it). She
tried Chinese dance. It was a little over her head but the
teacher is good and said it’s okay if Zoe only participates in
so far as she feels comfortable. So, she basically watches the
other girls and occasionally tries to dance with them. Zoe also
participates in a parent/child gym class and story time at the
library. She’s one busy girl!
Rob continues to enjoy his new job and is learning the ins and
outs of the field. He took a business trip and was actually able
to fly home without any anti-anxiety medication. Go Rob!!!
I joined a local Mothers of Preschoolers group and look forward
to the twice monthly meetings! They are a wonderful group of
ladies that I will be getting to know.
The wait for a referral continues to lengthen, but we are on the
downward end of it. Hopefully we’ll hear something about Lexi
within a year. It’s been tough having to wait for such an
unexpectedly long time but we know Lexi will be worth every
excruciating moment once she is placed in our arms.
