November 2007 Update

Not much to report this month.

We decorated for Christmas the week after Halloween. Yes, we are THAT family! We LOVE Christmas and have been listening to carols all month long.

Rob’s family came in for a visit over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. It was wonderful spending time with them. I cooked my second turkey in 15 years and it didn’t turn out half bad! The only part of the meal I was disappointed with was the sweet potato casserole. It was a bit runny. Other than that, everything was delicious!

Grandma Arp, Auntie Laura, and Uncle Jim showered Zoe with pile of early Christmas gifts. She received everything from new clothes for her dolly, to instruments, a motor run motorcycle, play tools, and some really fun games. She loved spending special time with her nai nai when everyone else took a nap.

And Zoe had a first this month. After 21 months of waiting for her mei mei, last night, for the very first time, on her own, she gazed up into my eyes and said, “Mommy, why is it taking so long? I wish Lexi could come home.” I do, too, darling, I do, too.

Hanging the stockings.

Giggling with Daddy.

Our Christmas tree.

Feeling fabulous and fancy after a relaxing bath.
