October 2008 Update

Well, we are finally within days of Lexi’s referral. I won’t post much other than to share that Zoe had a great birthday party and Metcha Day Celebration. My 39th birthday was spent laying in a hospital bed for nine days with an NG tube down my nose … OUCH!!! I had a bowel obstruction that was able to right itself without surgery, so thankfully I am home and on the mend.

Please check back next week. My gut tells me our precious child has already been matched with our family. I cannot wait to travel to China and begin to help her understand the sense of belonging that comes from being part of a forever family. I just can’t wait to look into her dark eyes and caress her tiny fingers and toes …

Trick-or-Treating with good friends!

Our little "fairy witch".

Grandaddy adores his Zoe!

Zoe cried and cried when Granmommy went home after I recovered from my hospital stay.

Check out the big kid scooter she got for her birthday!!!

On Metcha Day, Rob surprised Zoe with a lovely necklace,
and Mommy gave her the "Coming Home Barbie" we received when we stayed at the White Swan.
